“Community is the fruit born through shared brokenness, and intimacy is the fruit that grows through touching one another’s wounds.”
That is why I started The Superfruitful blog and website. I was a Christian for 15 years before I fully realized spiritual fruit was born from brokenness.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Eph. 5:8-11
In no way do I claim to be a “Super Christian.” If fruit is born from brokenness. To be super-fruitful In essence is to be super-broken. The most “broken” chapters of my life have always been the most fruitful.
“Broken” is when I surrender. I die to myself. I stop trying to control my life and learn to be completely dependent on Jesus.
Until we experience this ourselves most of us would much prefer to live in the highlights of life.
I have some wonderful highlights. Some of them include being a career woman, getting a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, being a pastor’s wife, homeschooling mom, mentor, teacher and friend, ministry but not one of these roles, people or things could heal the deepest insecurities of my soul and need for value, worth and redemption.
So I write not from the highlights but from the brokenness I’ve experienced along the way from becoming Superficial to Superfruitful. Above all else, I want to be found faithful and fruitful in my Father’s eyes. And as I press deeper into God and His Word, I write.
I pray this site connects you to a community of hope, encourages you to find or restore a relationship with God, and find the peace, security and love that you are looking for that ONLY Jesus can provide.
